We offer a variety of services specializing in Equal Employment
Opportunity and Affirmative Action:
Affirmative Action Plans
A current and compliant Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) is a critical
part of an Affirmative Action Program and a useful tool for organizational
analysis. We take the mystery out of affirmative action planning
and compliance. We develop customized, compliant, user-friendly
Affirmative Action Plans pursuant to:
- Executive
Order 11246 (for women and minorities)
- Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act
of 1973 (for individuals with disabilities)
- Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance
Act (VEVRAA) of 1974 (for U.S. veterans)
Affirmative Action Plan for Women and Minorities
Pursuant to Executive Order 11246
Not all AAPs are created the same. And not all compliant AAPs are
good ones. The good ones truly reflect the company. They represent
an in-depth analysis of your company's workforce, its personnel
activity and recruitment opportunities. Good AAPs also require client
input -- because no one knows your organization as well as you do.
While federal law requires that your company maintain a compliant
AAP, we ensure that your AAP is customized and meaningful to your
organization.
The "Executive Order 11246" Affirmative Action Plan can be a useful
planning tool for Human Resources. It analyzes the racial/ethnic
and gender breakdown of your organization, then compares those demographics
with who is qualified and "available", and strategizes on how your
company will strive to better mirror "Availability" in the future.
It addresses critical personnel areas, such as recruitment, hiring,
promotion and retention throughout the company. The AAP also can
help your company identify potential liability issues - before
they become crises.
We provide both the narrative and numerical analyses for a complete
AAP. Or, if you would prefer to develop the 11246 AAP in house,
we would be happy to offer as much guidance and instruction as you
need.
We combine the following two AAPs into a single, comprehensive
and easy-to-read "Affirmative Action Plan for Individuals with
Disabilities, Disabled Veterans, and Veterans of the Vietnam Era".
Affirmative Action Plan for Individuals with Disabilities
Pursuant to Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended [29 U.S.C.
793], and the implementing regulations published at 41 CFR Part
60-741 mandate that federal contractors and subcontractors maintain
a current and compliant AAP for Individuals with Disabilities.
Affirmative Action Plan for United States Veterans
Pursuant to Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA)
of 1974
The Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) of
1974, as amended [38 U.S.C. 4212], and the implementing regulations
published at 41 CFR Part 60-250, mandate that federal contractors
and subcontractors maintain a current and compliant AAP with respect
to Vietnam era and special disabled veterans.
Nearly all of the required sections in the Individuals with Disabilities
and the Veterans Affirmative Action Plans are identical. Hence,
in order to minimize redundancy and to save you time, paperwork,
and shelf space, we combine these two Plans into one.
No statistical analyses are required for this AAP. We provide an
up-to-date, combined AAP with the required narrative sections (e.g.,
review of personnel processes, reasonable accommodations, harassment,
dissemination, responsibility, etc.) as well as a list of recommended
recruitment sources for qualified disabled individuals and veterans.
In the Appendix of the Plan, we also provide an example "Post-Offer
Self-Identification Form" that an employer may use to request
voluntary self-identification from the company's new hires and employees.
